UsMoms Gardening

On June 1, 2007 UsMoms is launching our JOKE-A-THON. The goal is to raise the money to re-instate the
free food program. We cannot re-instate the free food program until we get into a commercial building.
Our food program has grown so big and is servicing so many families, that we can no longer meet health
and safety codes when we use residences and borrowed space that is not designed for food distribution.
Since 2001 the number of families signed up for free food bins has grown from the first 7 families to the
3000+ families now on our roster. It is time to focus on getting into a commercial building. We hope to buy
a building so that UsMoms benefits from the significant renovations that will be required to meet the
codes. But, if we can't purchase a building, then we certainly need enough money in the bank to feel
confident about taking on a lease. So, these jokes are our gift to the participants who have understood
our need and made the compassionate choice to donate. Our families thank you. UsMoms' Board and staff
thank you. The community thanks you. Today... you made a difference !!!
